Hey y’all!
The year is changing and so is polymorv. I’m sure you are getting this blog from a new email associated with Substack. This is my first big move because I realize that, in the midst of so much building with Mez, I don’t need to learn how to build a website as well. Substack is a platform that I use to read quite a few newsletters and it’s a much better avenue to focus on what’s important: writing consistently.
Practice makes perfect, but consistent practice is what really matters. I wouldn’t call myself a great writer yet, and working under tight timelines has added more stress than fun to this project. Switching to Substack feels like the right way to make writing more sustainable—and enjoyable—for me.
This shift also opens up space for more projects in the polymorv universe. I’m still figuring out what those will be, but ideas like recipes, sustainability booklets, Q&As, and even a Slack community are on my mind.
The week between Christmas and New Year’s is always my time for reflection, and I want to share some resolutions I’m setting for 2025:
Publish 50 pieces: You’ll be (hopefully) hearing from me on a regular cadence.
Interview interesting people in food and adjacent spaces: This might be in writing or maybe even a podcast format…
Create short-form video content: Keep an eye on the polymorv Instagram and trying to sort this out as well!
I also have personal goals around health that might cross over here, like running and activity-based meetups. If you ever want to go for a jog, let me know!
2025 is looking bright, and I’m so grateful for the attention you’ve given me over the past 14 months as I’ve explored topics I care about. Enjoy your first day of the year, and be sure to keep an eye on your inbox.
